During steel production, large overhead cranes are required to transport molten steel containing ladles from the blast furnace to the pouring station. Once emptied, the ladles are brought back to its original position to repeat the process. Specially designed these Hot metal cranes lower downtime significantly, as tedious tasks are not associated with them unlike large overhead bridge cranes. Further, the sizes and configurations of these ladle cranes make them highly efficient and easy to operate These special cranes designed for Heavy Industry operations can withstand high temperatures, smoke and continuous duty cycle (24 hours working) with 150-300 starts/stops per hour. For smooth, continuous running, special class IV duty motors are provided with the cranes with VFD or slipping motors. All the components and electrical systems used in these fcranes are from renowned manufacturers. APPLICATION:- The Ladle Weighbridge is designed to weigh hot ladles and slag pots. The weighbridge utilizes DWB series double shear beam high temperature load cells and cable that can withstand temperatures of over 250°C .
